In our final session I will discuss the ACT Matrix and its use as an assessment tool and for ongoing collaborative work with parents. 

I will talk about the important topic of parental burnout and how to foster its opposite, parental resilience.

Finally, we will discuss therapist burnout and explore ways we can stay resilient ourselves when this work can be depleting.

Chris McCurry

Chris McCurry, Ph.D., is a Seattle-based clinical child psychologist, husband, and father. He earned a master’s in developmental psychology and a doctorate in clinical psychology, studying with ACT cofounder Steve Hayes. After nearly 40 years in clinical practice, he now leads workshops and writes, with publications including Parenting Your Anxious Child with Mindfulness and Acceptance and children’s workbooks on anxiety, sadness, and anger.
