Expand your EMDR practice to treat anxiety with Dr. Jennifer Sweeton in this insightful webinar. Learn how EMDR can address anxiety disorders by targeting distressing triggers and negative cognitions like “I am worthless,” which often underlie anxiety. Dr. Sweeton will guide you through adapting the 8-phase model, focusing on present triggers in Phase 1 and using BLS to desensitize anxiety responses in Phase 4. Explore how to integrate mindfulness and somatic techniques to manage heightened arousal, ensuring clients stay within their window of tolerance. Discover tips for handling non-image targets, common in anxiety cases, and how to prepare clients for future anxiety-provoking scenarios. This session equips you with practical tools to broaden EMDR’s application beyond PTSD.
