Dive into the somatic aspects of EMDR with Dr. Jennifer Sweeton in this engaging webinar. Learn how trauma manifests physically, often missed in assessments, with symptoms like headaches, stomach issues, or heart-related problems. Dr. Sweeton will introduce Somatic Targeting for pre-verbal or complex trauma, using sensations as entry points when memories lack a storyline, helping clients to create a physical profile of their somatic memories. Explore how to integrate body-focused techniques like grounding and body scans into EMDR’s Phase 2 resourcing, and use Phase 6 body scanning to clear residual distress. This session offers practical somatic strategies to enhance EMDR, ensuring a holistic approach to trauma healing..
