Join Dr. Jennifer Sweeton to explore EMDR modifications for complex and developmental trauma, critical for nuanced client care. Dr. Sweeton will introduce Somatic Targeting for pre-verbal trauma, using sensations as targets instead of memories. Also, attendees will learn how to “inch along” memory by memory, starting with EMD for titration and emphasizing attunement. Jennifer Sweeton

Dr. Jennifer Sweeton, PsyD, JD, MS, MA is a clinical and forensic psychologist, best-selling author, and internationally recognized expert in trauma and the neuroscience of mental health. She completed her clinical training at the Stanford University PGSP Consortium, with additional education in neuroscience at Stanford, Harvard, and the University of Kansas. She also recently graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. Dr. Sweeton has trained over 30,000 mental health professionals in evidence-based trauma therapies, including EMDR, and is the author of several books, including Trauma Treatment Toolbox. She is known for translating complex neuroscience into practical tools clinicians can use to help clients heal.
